Abstract
The opening address discusses the development of information in criminology. The role of the J.V. Barry Memorial Library of the Australian Institute of Criminology is highlighted, as well as the library of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. The methodology of compiling a bibliography about Aborigines and the law is reviewed, and the Family Information Centre of the Institute of Family Studies is examined. Issues in the provision of library services to Australian prisoners are discussed; the script of a video tape on the Police College Library in South Yarra, Victoria, is presented; and the services of the University of New South Wales Law Library are described. Summaries of discussions are included, and reports by special interest groups at the seminar focus on special libraries for corrective services, courts, police, and university law. Seminar objectives, resolutions, and a list of seminar participants are supplied.
