This report presents a statistical analysis of Ohio juvenile court data for 1979.
Abstract
A total of 33 tables are provided, as well as a delineation of offense categories per State revised codes and an explanation of disposition categories. The number of youths appearing in juvenile court totaled 48,602 compared to 75,740 cases heard. Therefore, each youth represents 1.56 cases. A total of 10 Ohio counties accounted for 26,922 youth, or 55 percent of all youth appearing in juvenile court for delinquency and unruly offenses.
