Abstract
The report contains data on the organization of the criminal police in Lower Saxony, crime rate comparisons since 1972, criminal geography and demographics of the State, firearms offenses, and offender characteristics (including non-German offenders). Tables show the evolution of the State's crime picture regarding specific offenses such as homicide, sex-related crimes, robbery, assault, theft, fraud, drug-related offenses, and others. Offender statistics are presented by age and sex for both cleared and unresolved incidents. A geographic breakdown by cities in Lower Saxony is also given. The bulk of the document is composed of tables and graphs.
