Explosives-related incidents and fatalities have declined, as have stolen explosives incidents. California leads the Nation in bombing incidents. Tables/graphs illustrate bombing incidents by target, explosives/incendiary incidents by State, containers used as destructive devices, and stolen and recovered explosives by State. Charts indicate arson incidents by target and motive. Investigations of explosives--related incidents in 38 States and the District of Columbia are briefly described. A glossary is included.
