This manual contains the regulations and procedures concerning the minimum standards for the selection and training of police officers in Alaska.
Abstract
The regulations were adopted by the Alaska Police Standards Council, a member body appointed by the State governor in accordance with legislation which took effect in 1972. The manual contains the text of the Alaska Police Standards Council Act as amended. Also included are urban police regulations, procedures for urban police, village police and village public safety officer regulations and procedures, training program and instructor regulations and procedures, and policies of the Alaska Police Standards Council. Sample forms provided include a health questionnaire, personnel action form, and department training record. A sample field training manual for police recruits is also provided.
