Annotation: This report summarizes the operations of the Maryland Division of Correction, its various institutions and its prerelease units for the fiscal years ending June 30, 1979 and June 30, 1980.
Abstract: The report cites adjustment hearing statistics and reviews the progress of Mutual Agreement Programming, a process of parole determination based on the negotiation of an agreement among the inmate, the Parole Commission, and the Division of Correction, over the period 1975 to 1980. Other programs include the Office of Community Adult Rehabilitation Center Development and Prerelease Services and the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center. The report also includes institutional descriptions; State use industries; institutional populations; division operating costs, income accounts, and spending; and financial statements regarding other aspects of operations. Active authorized capital projects are itemized and inmate statistics presented. Charts and tabular material are included.
