The report describes the clinic's organizational structure and its capacity and admissions. It also discusses legislative changes, particularly regarding determinate sentences, that are likely to affect the clinic's work by conflicting with its basic treatment philosophy. In connection with the anniversary celebrations, mention is made of an interim report by the Scientific Research and Documentation Center of their followup research on the clinic's former patients. Comments on the treatment aspects of the clinic note a change in the general therapeutic climate of the institution. A patient disturbance in the report year elicited much concern among staff and inmates about security and more structured inmate regulations, calling forth discussion about the very functions of staff leadership and the living group environment in a therapeutic setting. A study of staff roles, attitudes, and performance relative to the prescribed patient treatment plans is underway. The report also contains the center's financial review of the year.
