This course aims to improve local crime prevention programming in Pennsylvania by acquainting municipal officials with the benefits of a comprehensive crime prevention approach.
Abstract
The 2 1/2 hour course consists of six modules, each including a statement of objectives, the presentation technique, a list of materials required, and a detailed lesson plan. The first module introduces the material, and the second describes the State's crime problem. The third module introduces the crime prevention concept, and the fourth explains the Pennsylvania Crime Watch Program. Subsequent sessions describe how to initiate and maintain a crime prevention program and summarize course material.
