This health care security training program includes slides and a synchronized audio cassette designed to teach security officers how to patrol health care facilities.
Abstract
The program will enable officers to understand what to observe and be aware of when patrolling, what specific hazards to watch for, and how to prepare themselves before patrol. It explains night patrol techniques, including proper use of the flashlight; procedures to follow upon discovering an illegal act; and the importance of communicating with other facility employees. The program can be used for all types and sizes of health care facilities and for security officers of all levels, as well as vocational students considering security as a career. The program also includes a leader's guide and exercises.
