Eight steps are outlined for implementing evaluation of vocational education in correctional institutions. They are determining the evaluation's purpose, identifying desired outcomes, specifying questions that need to be answered, selecting methods to arrive at the answers, identifying staff members who will conduct the evaluation, collecting and analyzing the data, and finally reporting the results of the undertaking. Wardens and other correctional administrators should be encouraged to use evaluation reports in their decisionmaking and in making reports concerning their institutions. Eight references are given.
