The issues raised include contemporary perspectives on the definitions of life and death, family law, sexual morals, decriminalization and criminalization of certain behaviors, criminal liability, and mens rea. Examples are given from the legal codes of Luxembourg, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. It is contended that insufficient consideration is given to implementation and enforcement burdens placed on the police with each addition to the body of substantive law. No references are cited.
