Compared to 1980, violent crime decreased 7.5 percent in Arkansas in 1981, property crime increased .5 percent, and crime Index offenses decreased .2 percent.
Abstract
The value of property stolen increased 5.8 percent while the value of property recovered increased 4.3 percent. Tables and figures illustrate statewide crime Index data for murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larcenty, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Also given are data on arrests, law enforcement employees, and law enforcement officers assaulted. The report explains the Arkansas Uniform Crime Reporting program, presents a crime summary, and notes the value of property stolen and recovered.
