The 1980-81 annual report covers Connecticut Office of Adult Probation staff training activities, volunteer programs, caseload classification system, the adult on-line information system (APOLIS), and other matters.
Abstract
The office uses empirical risk prediction as a caseload management tool and has developed APOLIS to update case information directly from court. It has also participated in the Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime program and a project to increase the effectiveness of the presentence investigation report as a sentencing decision instrument. The Community Service Restitution Program is described, and probation statistics are appended.
