This film shows bank tellers exactly what to do in case of a bank holdup. It is based on the psychological principle that people who are trained to follow certain procedures in an emergency situation are generally less apt to panic.
Abstract
The nine simple steps that tellers should be trained to follow automatically when confronted by a robber are delineated. They include the following: keep cool, handle note carefully, obey instructions, activate silent alarm (money clip), get a good look at the robber and note any particular characteristics, activate another alarm after the robber leaves, and notify the bank supervisor that robbery has just occurred. The teller should also protect fingerprints and write down a description of the robber before talking to anyone else.
