Abstract
Information is given on the total crimes in the State between 1962 and 1981 and on the amount of crime by police district in 1981. Data on offender characteristics note age, sex, employment, and emphasize non-German nationality. Other tables show violent crime incidence, police use of deadly force, and crime incidences for specific offense categories such as homicide, rape, robbery, assault, theft, offenses involving automobiles, fraud, and drug-related crimes. Additional data are given on missing persons, crime rates in major West German cities, and the major crime centers of North Rhine-Westphalia. Most of the document consists of tabular data.
