Abstract
It is intended to foster communications among developers and users of criminal justice information systems, facilitate the transfer or adaptation of exemplary systems, and minimize duplication of effort. The directory can also help identify promising areas for research and statistical activities. It presents indexed listings of automated criminal justice information systems used by police, courts, corrections, and other agencies. For each jurisdiction, the listing briefly describes criminal justice information systems that are operational or being developed, who is doing the work, and the current status of the system. System descriptions, presented in Index 2, are listed by name under State and city or county. To locate a specific jurisdiction's response, Index 1 provides an index of jurisdictions, organized alphabetically by State. County-level jurisdictions, followed by local-level jurisdictions, are listed alphabetically beneath the State.
