Juveniles aged 12 to 19 years were studied with regard to the relationship of offender status, family communication and self-concept.
Abstract
Status offenders had lower communication and self-concept scores than criminal offenders and non-offenders. Criminal offenders and non-offenders had similar scores on both measures. Implications for treatment focused on families of status offenders were discussed. (Author abstract)
