Abstract
A narrative section and an organizational chart portray Arizona's court organization and the functions of the various courts. State summary information is also provided. In addition to presenting 1981 statistics for the court of appeals, trend analysis for criminal and civil filings is included for 1977-81. The court financial information covers direct and indirect expenditures and appropriations as well as the amount supplied from Federal and State funds. The information on superior court probation is based on monthly reports submitted by superior court probation departments. Adult and juvenile probation statistics are provided by individual courts. The section on court receipts lists the total amount of fines, fees, forfeitures, and surcharges reported as collected by the various courts. The appendix lists each court's judges by name.
