In Nassau County, N.Y., criminal activity by youths, as measured by the total 1 number of arrests, declined 8.7 percent between 1980 and 1981.
Abstract
The age group 10 to 21, which constitutes 21.3 percent of the total county population, accounted for 55.8 percent of the persons arrested for Part I crimes in 1981 and 57.8 percent in 1980. Data tables presents information on Part I offenses, demographic characteristics of all yothful offenders arrested in 1981, youth arrests by community, and changes in population/age distribution. The tables comprise most of the report.
