A total of 31,866 delinquent children were disposed of in the Pennsylvania Juvenile Courts during 1982. The largest dispositional category was probation supervision (19.48 percent) followed by dismissal (15.4 percent).

Statewide summary tables present data on dispositions; placements; delinquency dispositions, 1978-1982; mean and median time lapse; disposition by race and sex; disposition by race; and attorney representation by disposition. County tables give data on total dispositions and rate per 100,000 juvenile population; total dispositions by source of referral, by type, by race, and by race and sex; total placements by type of service; juveniles detained by type of detention and number of days; and secure detention by various categories. Offense data are also included.
