This 1981 annual report on Illinois corrections presents information and statistics pertaining to the work of the adult and juvenile corrections divisions, community services, and support services.
Abstract
Specifically, statistics are presented on population vs. capacity, total admissions and releases, capacity by security designation, determinate and indeterminate sentences, inmate characteristics, and correctional industries. The report also contains statistics for inmates by race, commitments by month, admissions, and commitments by county. Information is provided on the population served, work release applications, wages earned by residents in community employment, room and board paid by residents, community supervision caseload, and community supervision violators returned. Finally the report presents data on support services, including cases pending litigation, capital programs, the allocation and clients served under Title XX donated funds, and enrollments and GED's issued. Expenditures are also reported.
