Both increased crime and improved news coverage have made the general comparison of crime statistics from 1964 and 1977 shows that the number of school age criminals and the amount of crime by school age children has grown. School age criminals commit more crimes against property than against persons but the latter type of crime has multiplied faster in the 1964-1977 period. There are seven types of school age criminals, including the incidental, habitual, psychotic, and sado-masochistic criminal, the necrophilous or death-worshiping criminal, the aggressive sex offender, and the child who commits substance-induced aggression. These substances, such as alcohol, amphetamines, heroin, LSD, 'angel dust' or PCP, barbiturates, or even drug placebos, may interact with certain personality types to produce violent behavior.
