Abstract
At other moments, real-life police, prosecutors, doctors, nurses, and rape crisis center workers are the center of focus in a staged scene. There is no rape portrayed in the film, which concentrates on the aftermath, the 'crisis' of rape for everyone concerned. The film also documents the rape crisis center's ongoing struggle to stay alive in the community while helping victims heal their emotional trauma. This emotionally gripping presentation offers skillfully painted portraits of people dealing with the problem of rape and insights into the roots of sexual violence in modern society.
