Prompted by a rapid increase in the incidence of vandalism in the county in 1980, the Sandusky County Crime Prevention Association (Ohio), was founded as a nonprofit corporation that solicits and expends funds for crime prevention activities.
Abstract
This document delineates the steps leading to the establishment of two programs pertinent to the vandalism problem. The Crime Solvers Anonymous program offers reward money to anyone anonymously volunteering information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator of serious crimes committed in the community. The Block Watch program encourages local citizens to be the 'eyes and ears' for law enforcement by watching out for each others' property. No footnotes or references are provided.
