Annotation
Five scenarios raise questions about appropriate supervisory behavior by police sergeants who are regularly confronted by management problems. No evaluation of the sergeants' performances are made, but each scenario is followed by a break for audience discussion.
Abstract
The scenarios focus on ineffective methods of handling officers who are late reporting to work, inefficient approaches to handling calls and supervising employees, a sergeant's response to an officer's inappropriate handling of a traffic violation, and ways to help an officer resolve a drinking problem. A leader's guide accompanies the film.
