Using a question-and-answer interaction with workshop participants, this presentation considers the steps involved in conducting a process evaluation for a juvenile restitution program.
Abstract
After identifying reasons for performing evaluations and discussing the advantages and disadvantages of selecting internal and external sources to conduct the evaluation, steps in a process evaluation are developed. The workshop leader advises that mission statements, objectives, and activities designed to meet objectives should be developed so as to lend themselves to measurement. Workshop participants are then led through a participatory session whereby objectives and activities for a restitution program are presented and various means of measuring them for evaluation purposes are identified.
