During the first 5 years of operation, the CBA program has accomplished all of the major objectives that were mandated. These include removal of all status offenders from the State's training schools, reduction of training school population, coordination of local service providers in planning and implementing a continuum of services at the local level, development of program performance measures to objectively evaluate the impact of CBA-funded programs, and development of minimum standards for each major program type. In 1981-82, a total of 43,638 youths were served by CBA activities. Tables are provided. Appendixes include an index of juvenile justice indicators by county, the governor's volunteer program planning committee, and agencies and organization represented on the PYD Committee.
