Abstract
Photographs, floor plans, and building sections illustrate designs from all parts of the United States and from two Canadian Provinces. The designs include jails and additions to jails, juvenile centers, court facilities, a police training academy, a justice complex, a work/study release residence, a police substation, a maximum security facility, a reception and classification center, women's facilities, and a health care unit. For each project, the following information is given: architect, structural engineer, mechanical and electrical engineers, civil engineers, criminal justice consultants, landscape architects, other consultants, and contractor. An architect's statement and data on the site and building areas, capacity, cost of construction, and year completed are also given. Comments from the group that screened the designs are also included.
