New and expanded programs and services, many of which include the application of computer technologies, were instituted throughout the Alabama judicial system in 1982.
Abstract
A one-step juror qualifying and summoning program was initiated, computerized case management systems -- including the Case Index System and the Criminal Case Tracking System -- were developed, and municipal court education and management services were expanded. Repeat DUI offender programs were established, judicial education courses were approved for continuing legal education credit, and public information programs were expanded. Tables, charts, and photographs are supplied.
