Abstract
Information on general characteristics pertains to race and sex, age at commitment, committing offense, intelligence, age at first community contact, type of first community contact, number of commitments, month of commitment, committing court, living situation at the time of commitment, and earlier living situation. Data pertaining to medical evaluation involve the number of committed juveniles who had previous neurological, psychological, and psychiatric evaluations; previous residential placement for behavior problems; and previous psychiatric hospitalization. Information for the educational evaluation notes the reading and writing grades and ages, mathematics grade and age, knowledge grade and age, and any educational handicapping condition.
