One of the most serious problems in terms of victimization in Nigeria is the casualties of road traffic accidents (RTA), many of whom utilize government hospitals for treatment.
Abstract
Through the use of hospital records and interviews with RTA victims at Ahmadu Bello University Hospital, patterns of injury, socio-economic attributes, demand for health care are examined. The conclusion drawn is that due to limited resources, the governmental health service finds it difficult to fully deliver medical care to these victims. (Author abstract)
