Abstract
It is also recognized as the turf on which victimology and criminology meet. The concept has, to some degree, been applied in theory construction, research and programming. There is vast potential remaining in this concept. The potential of the concept is presently being exploited in the New England area. Descriptions of some of these projects with which the author has been associated and preliminary output data are reported here. (Author abstract)
