This publication provides a listing of law schools which offer curricula in the field of dispute settlement. It is intended to contribute to public and professional education and awareness of dispute settlement and to encourage increased participation in alternative dispute resolution.
Abstract
Specifically, the directory provides selected profiles of programs in 43 universities across the country, including Boston University, Oral Roberts University, and the University of Wisconsin. The information on each institution includes address, telephone, enrollment, and community population. The name of the dean and that of a key contact are also given. A description of the courses offered in arbitration and dispute resolution is provided. University-based services and community-based services in dispute settlement are also noted. The appendix contains listings of law schools offering courses in the categories of arbitration; negotiation; interviewing, counseling, and negotiation; and the lawyering process.
