The present investigation is an attempt to study the relationship between recidivism and certain social factors, viz. defective discipline, previous approved school experience and run-away experience from home.
Abstract
The study was undertaken in two Central Jails of Tamil Nadu by having 50 recidivists and 50 Non-recidivists as sample. The results indicate that more recidivists came from homes with defective discipline, had previous approved school experience and had run-away experience from home which confirmed the hypothesis.
