Abstract
The program is open to citizens wishing to serve their community. Goals of the program include expansion of citizen awareness of crime prevention, assistance to the Sheriff's Department, and improvement in police-community relations. Commissioned officers and volunteer directors supervise and advise the volunteers. Members shall conduct their private affairs and professional lives so as to avoid adverse reflection on themselves and the Sheriff's Department. Volunteers must inform their supervisors of all relevant activities, situations, and problems of which they learn. Volunteers must obey the volunteer dress code. Membership can be revoked without show of cause.
