The author first explains the need to reexamine volunteer programs in light of budgetary problems now found within corrections.
Abstract
After identifying the questions that must be addressed, he explores the contributions to be found in recent professional literature. He then describes two contemporary volunteer programs and closes by using the data pertaining to these programs to further clarify the current status and possible future directions of correctional voluntarism.
