Abstract
The compensation provides for both medical expenses and loss of income, as well as financial losses to dependents of deceased victims. During 1982, 132 claims were processed and $415.685 was awarded. The Board distributes brochures and posters throughout the State to publicize the program. It also requires law enforcement agencies and hospitals to provide information to victims of crimes. Summaries of individual cases, a description of the procedures used in processing a claim, and data tables are supplied.
