The State now has 35 dispute resolution centers serving 37 counties. In 1982-83, the centers handled 54,254 contacts and referrals with 15,280 conciliations, mediations, and arbitrations. Most of the cases involved misdemeanors; an average of three people were served per case. The average time per case was 1 hour and 20 minutes. The progress report includes a profile of each center, a list of evaluation goals and objectives, extensive data tables showing the workloads of the centers, cost data, and descriptions of the reports submitted by the centers.
