The major themes underlying legal standards in the criminal justice process are reviewed. Basic issues that case law and literature indicate have the greatest impact on the criminal justice process are identified.
Abstract
Volume one of this three part series deals with the detection and investigation of crime. Eight chapters address the following topics: arrest, search and seizure, wiretapping and electronic surveillance, police 'encouragement' and the entrapment defense, interrogation and confessions, identification procedures, grand jury investigation, scope of the exclusionary rules, and administration of the exclusionary rules.
