Also considered are the links between official bodies, such as local law enforcement agencies and armed forces units, and violence-prone organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan, particularly regarding the overlooking of violations of Federal gun laws, the possible transfer of weaponry to such organizations, and the limited efforts to prosecute law violations by members of such organizations. Testimony is presented by representatives of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Justice Department, the Center for Constitutional Rights, political science and legal academics, and the Anti-Defamation league.
