This directory lists programs in Washington State that provide education, training, employment, and support services to offenders.
Abstract
Programs are emphasized which target offenders as a service group or include offenders as part of a larger population served. The directory also includes programs which may be needed to meet preemployment needs. These include drug, alcohol, or mental health counseling and medical and income assistance. The first section contains summaries of local employment, training, and support service programs, listed alphabetically by county. The second section provides an overview of the State agencies that offer direct services to clients as well as a list of local offices for each State agency. Programs and services available through the State's Employment Security Department, Department of Social and Health Services, and Department of Veterans Affairs are listed. Programs available through the Job Training Partnership Act and a list of the law's service delivery areas are also supplied. Program information provides the agency's address and telephone number, the supervisor's name, the geographical area served, the clients served, and the services available.
