Abstract
Descriptions of how four security professionals installed security programs in their school districts accompany a discussion of how organizations representing the school community view school problems and the role of security systems in addressing them. Another article describes the National Bank of Detroit's security improvement through the installation of bullet-resistant barriers and the use of a reward plan. The protection of art works from theft and fraud, the use of guard dogs as a security aid, current trends in hospital security, and the main methods used in industrial espionage are also examined in detail. Studies of the Three Mile Island nuclear spillage incident are explored as well. Figures and footnotes for some papers are provided.
