Steps for handling the abuse of a student by another student on school premises are listed, including the following: Obtain statements from eyewitnesses; contact the appropriate school official and call the county social or human services agency; notify the victim's parents and the perpetrator's parents; and talk with the victim and with the perpetrator, possibly through an outside agency.
