This report summarizes the volume, sources, and types of research requests received by the Office of Criminal Justice Services for the State of Ohio during 1981.
Abstract
The data also cover trends since 1978 for some of the information categories. The 308 research requests in 1981 represented almost half of the total received since the unit's inception in July 1978. Requests came from regular government agencies, elected officials, private and nonprofit organizations, businesses, colleges and universities, news media, and private citizens. Topics included public attitudes, juvenile justice, courts, corrections, law enforcement, crime and victimization, employment and expenditures, and background and general reference information. Figures, a list of definitions, a list of other publications from the Statistical Analysis Center, and appendix tables are supplied.
