Abstract
A total of 960 males and 1,183 females were interviewed in a nationwide sample. Information was gathered on the tactics used to resolve conflicts between spouses, between children, and between parents and children; on conflicts resulting in violence; on conflict resolution in the respondent's childhood family; on family power structure; on marital closeness and stability; and on personality and stress factors. The data are available in card image and OSIRIS formats. The appendix contains other material pertinent to the study methodology.
