The introduction describes the study and discusses data standards as well as codebook information. The overall study, which included 11 separate surveys, assessed the adequacy of current criminal justice and law enforcement training programs, projected future training needs, and established need priorities for future training and assistance programs to be funded by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. The file includes 334 cases, which is 73.4 percent of the total. The codebook describes the variables and the data format. The appendix presents the code values for the 'major obstacle' survey question.
