The correctional investigator is appointed to investigate complaints of inmates and report on them annually. Eight statistical tables list complaints received by category, by month, and by institution, complaints and inmate population by region, institutional visits, inmate interviews, disposition of complaints, and complaints resolved or aided. Recommendations not yet resolved from the not yet resolved from the previous year are discussed. Nineteen recommendations for the current year are presented. Appendixes include an order of the Committee of the Privy Council pertaining to the hiring of a new correctional investigator and a summary of recommendations to the correctional service. The book is printed in both English and French.
