This directory lists over 2,100 programs operated by women's groups in 50 States and the District of Columbia that serve women, including battered women's shelters, rape crisis centers and counseling, job training, family planning, and health services.
Abstract
The directory is organized alphabetically by State. Within each State, the entries are organized into eight categories: battered women and rape victim services, career counseling services, displaced homemaker programs, planned parenthood clinics, skilled trade training centers, women's centers, women's commissions, and women's health centers. Within each category, services are listed by city. An overview of the eiqht program categories describes the types of assistance they offer women. Sources of additional information are identified.
