Part I lists 41 items published or issued prior to the amendment (publication date range: 1938-83), which is designed to make agreements to arbitrate pending or future patent validity or infringement disputes enforceable (some court decisions have been inconclusive on this point). Part II contains eight items of material published or issued after the effective date of the amendment (1981-84).
