Abstract
Offense data cover each Index crime committed and cleared as well as offense circumstances and methods. Statistics pertaining to juveniles address the activities of the department's youth division, juvenile dispositions, and the percentage of Index crimes involving arrestees under age 25. Traffic-accident data pertain to accident causes, arrests by violation type, and number of accidents by type. Police community-services statistics indicate the number of various types of activities performed in the areas of crime prevention, public and internal information, neighborhood relations, and senior citizens services. Data also reflect activities in the areas of communications, field inquiries, records inquiries, graphic arts, record processing, field tactical services, identification, crime lab operations, and automotive pounds. Remaining data cover departmental vehicles, budget appropriations, training, salaries, internal affairs, professional standards, and calls for service.
